– Coach stays on the ad side and hits balls to 3 different spots (ad,center,deuce)
– Player hits all volleys deep to the ad side
– Player repeats this pattern

Backhand control – Intermediate

Backhand control

 

 

Objectives: Placement, Control, Consistency

Coach throws balls to the backhand side. Child alternates hitting backhands back to the coach and to the deuce corner. By performing this drill child improves consistency, placement, control, and change of directions. These skills are crucial to acquire before moving to the rally drills.
