– Coach stands on the service line
– Coach serves to the T from deuce side
– Player hits backhands return down the line from the baseline
– After successful return, player moves between baseline and service line and hits another return
– After successful return, player moves on the service line and hits another return
– Player repeats this pattern

– Player hits forehands cross court

– Coach feeds last 3 balls to the ad side (deep, medium and short)
– Player hits backhands down the line
– Player repeats this pattern

Objectives: Forehand, Topspin

Coach throws the balls to the forehand side. Child hits forehand and tries to make the ball over the bar and inside the court. By performing this drill child learns how to apply topspin to the forehand. This skill is important to play consistently at any level of performance.

Objectives: Forehand, Backhand, Ball perception, Control, Placement, Catch and throw

Coach rallies with a child. Coach hits regular balls. Child alternates hitting and throwing back to the coach. By performing this drill child improves reaction and coordination skills that are crucial in all strokes in tennis.
