– Cones are set close to the net on the ad side
– Coach feeds the ball to player’s backhand
– Player hits backhand drop volley and moves to the side
– The goal is to control the shot and hit drop volleys from different positions

Recipe:

– 2 zones are set in deep corners
– Coach feeds random balls
– Player hits all the balls to the deuce side until he hits the zone
– If the zone is made player is switching to the ad side and tries to hit ad corner
– Player repeats this pattern

Objectives: Coordination, Agility, Ball perception, Balance

– Player jumps on the left leg
– Player jumps inside the ladder, outside the ladder and to the side
– Coach throws the ball to the player when she jumps inside the ladder
– Player has to jump and catch and the same time and throw the ball back to the coach
– Player repeats this pattern

Brussels sprouts 100g

Tomato 100g

Pepper 100g

Feta cheese 50g

Pickles 100g

 

 

 

 

Recipe:

Heat tortilla in oven. Cut veggies into pieces. Put all ingredients into tortilla.

Objectives: Balance, Control, Placement

Coach throws the ball outside the court to the forehand side. Player runs to the ball and hits the ball. The goal of this exercise is to learn how to execute forehand stroke while being outside the sideline. This ability is especially important at later stages of development when players know how to hit angle shots.

– Coach throws balls to the ad side
– Coach uses different spins while feeding (off own side, high, low etc)
– Player hits all the balls with backhand
– Player has to adjust to the incoming ball (different bounces)
– The goal of this exercise is to learn how to adjust to different balls while hitting backhands. This skill helps players to develop variety of backhands that they will have to use during the match

– The goal is to learn how to connect serve with the forehand strokes in a tactical pattern

Objectives: Backhand, Footwork, Sliding, Balance

– Player stands behind the baseline
– Coach throw shorter ball to the backhand side
– Player moves forwards, slides and hits backhand stroke
– The goal of this exercise is to learn how to hit backhand while sliding forward. Sliding action is necessary to play successfully on clay courts so players have to feel comfortable while sliding in different directions
