Objectives: Volleys, Footwork, Strategy

– Player stands on the service line
– Coach feeds shorter and lower ball to the deuce side
– Player slides and hits controlled forehand volley down the line
– Coach feeds another ball to the ad side
– Player runs and hits finishing backhand volley
– The goal is to learn how to hit volleys while sliding and to improve quick directional change while being at the net

– Coach feeds first 2 balls to the deuce side (deep and medium)
– Player hits forehands down the line
– Coach feeds next 2 balls to the center (deep and medium)
– Player hits backhands to the ad side
– Coach feeds last 2 balls to the ad side (deep and medium)
– Player hits backhands cross court
– Player repeats this pattern

– Coach feeds balls to the ad side
– Player hits forehands inside out/inside in wherever he/she wants
– Player can’t play into marked area (deuce service box)
– Player repeats this pattern

Ingredients:

White cheese 100g

Sunflower seeds 10g

Dried plums 30g

Rice waffles 3pcs

 

Recipe:

Mix everything together.

When to use it:

Cones are set on the coach’s side. Ladder is set next to the court. Coach feeds balls to the kid. Kid tries to hit the ball over the net and inside the court. – Coach is on the player’s side
– Coach feeds 3 different balls to the deuce side (deep back, side, short forward)
– Player has to move and hit forehand stroke
– In this drill player works on specific footwork skills while hitting forehands from different spots. By performing this drill player learns how to effectively move to different zones and maintain consistent forehand shots

Objectives: Serve and the next shot, Backhand, Placement, Footwork

– Coach stands on the player’s side
– Player serves wide from the AD side
– Coach throws 2 balls to the AD side
– Player hits backhand cross-court and backhand down the line
– The goal is to learn how to connect the serve with the next shot. Many players return to the opponent’s backhand so player has to be able to answer these balls deep in different directions.
