Forehand CC wobble target

 

 

Objectives: Forehand, Placement, Consistency, Control

Coach throws the ball to the backhand side. Child hits backhand and tries to make the wobble target in the air. By performing this drill child learns how to control the pace and depth of the ball. These skills will help in the future while performing rally drills.

Objectives: Placement, Control, Topspin

Coach throws the balls to the forehand side. Child hits forehand and tries to make the ball over the bar and inside the court. By performing this drill child learns how to apply topspin to the forehand. This skill is important to play consistently at any level of performance.

– Player repeats this pattern

– The goal is to improve reaction because tennis ball doesn’t bounce regularly off the gymnastic ball
