Objectives: Placement, Change of depth, Change of direction

Coach feeds the balls to the ad side. Player alternates deep backhand down down the line and short angle backhand cross court. By performing this drill player learns how to open the court with a deep shot and put the opponent on the run with the next angle ball.

– Cones are set in different spots on the court (stations)
– Player starts from the first station
– Coach feeds the ball to the first station
– Player tries to hit deep zone on the AD side
– If player makes the zone, he is moving to the next station
– If player misses the zone, he is trying again
– Player repeats this pattern

– Coach feeds the ball to the backhand side
– Player hits backhand without moving the feet
– The goal is to learn how to hit backhand stroke with the weight on the back leg. This skill is necessary while dealing with deep and fast balls

– Player serves to the T from the ad side
– Coach feeds 2 balls to the ad side
– Player hits backhand cross-court and backhand down the line after the serve
– The goal is to build the tactical pattern that uses the T serve and puts the opponent on the run by placing 2 balls into different corners

Coach feeds the balls to the backhand side. Child hits the backhand and moves to the next station. By performing this drill child learns how to control the pace and depth of the ball while hitting from different positions.
